การใช้ at all ( ไม่…….เลย)เมื่อต้องการเน้นย้ำคำปฏิเสธ เช่น

คุณเห็นวัวในทุ่งนั้นไหม ไม่เห็นเลยสักตัว
การใช้ to and fro (กลับไป กลับมา ขึ้นๆลงๆ)
มีความหมายเท่ากับคำว่า backwards and forwards หรือ back and forth หรือ up and down
He walked to and fro, trying to make up his mind what to do.
เขาเดินไปเดินมาเพื่อจะตัดสินใจว่าจะทำอะไร
การใช้ far and wide (ทั่วทุกหน ทุกแห่ง) / far and nearมีความหมายเหมือนกับ far and near
He sought for his missing friend far and wide.
เขาหาเพื่อนที่หายไปทั่งทุกหนทุกแห่ง
He has travelled far and wide. เขาเดินทางไปทั่วทุกหนทุกแห่ง
